For processing (part of) the payments in our webshop, we use the Mollie platform. Mollie processes your name, address, place of residence, and your payment details, such as your bank account or credit card number. Mollie has taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data. Mollie reserves the right to use your data to further improve its services and to share (anonymized) data with third parties in this context. All the aforementioned safeguards regarding the protection of your personal data also apply to those parts of Mollie's services for which they engage third parties. Mollie does not store your data longer than permitted by law.

 

Reviews

WebwinkelKeur

We collect reviews via the WebwinkelKeur platform. If you leave a review via WebwinkelKeur, you are required to provide a name and email address. WebwinkelKeur shares this data with us so that we can link the review to your order. WebwinkelKeur also publishes your name on its own website. In some cases, WebwinkelKeur may contact you to provide an explanation of your review. If we invite you to leave a review, we will share your name and email address with WebwinkelKeur. They use this data solely for the purpose of inviting you to leave a review. WebwinkelKeur has taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data. WebwinkelKeur reserves the right to engage third parties for the provision of services, for which we have given WebwinkelKeur permission. Shipping and logistics

PostNL

If you place an order with us, it is our task to have your package delivered to you. We use the services of PostNL for carrying out deliveries. It is therefore necessary that we share your name, address, and place of residence details with PostNL. PostNL uses this data only for the purpose of executing the agreement. In the event that PostNL engages subcontractors, PostNL will also make your data available to these parties.

 

Invoicing and accounting

For keeping our administration and accounting, we do not use the services of third parties. The data is used for administering sales invoices. We do not use your personal data for purposes other than those described above.

 

External sales channels

Etsy.com

We sell (some of) our items through the Etsy platform. If you place an order through this platform, Etsy shares your order and personal data with us. We use this data to process your order. We treat your data confidentially and have taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data against loss and unauthorized use.

 

Purpose of data processing

General purpose of processing

We use your data solely for the purpose of our services. This means that the purpose of processing is always directly related to the assignment you provide. We do not use your data for (targeted) marketing. If you share data with us and we use this data to contact you at a later time - other than at your request - we will explicitly ask for your permission for this. Your data will not be shared with third parties, except to comply with accounting and other administrative obligations. These third parties are all bound to secrecy based on the agreement between them and us or an oath or legal obligation.

 

Automatically collected data

Data automatically collected by our website is processed with the aim of further improving our services. This data (e.g., your IP address, web browser, and operating system) is not personal data.

In some cases, Kiliaan Jewelry may be legally obliged to share your data in connection with tax or criminal investigations by the government. In such a case, we are forced to share your data, but we will resist this within the possibilities that the law offers us.

 

Retention periods

We store your data as long as you are our client. This means that we retain your client profile until you indicate that you no longer wish to use our services. If you inform us of this, we will also consider this a request for erasure. Based on applicable administrative obligations, we must retain invoices with your (personal) data, so we will keep this data for as long as the applicable period runs. However, employees no longer have access to your client profile and documents that we have produced based on your assignment.

 

Your rights

Below, we explain what these rights are and how you can exercise them. In principle, to prevent misuse, we only send copies of your data to the email address already known to us. In the event that you wish to receive the data at a different email address or, for example, by post, we will ask you to identify yourself. We keep a record of handled requests; in the case of a request for erasure, we store anonymized data. All copies of data will be provided to you in the machine-readable data format that we use within our systems. You always have the right to file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority if you suspect that we are using your personal data incorrectly.

You always have the right to access the data we process (or have processed) that relates to your person or can be traced back to it. You can make a request to this effect to our privacy contact person. You will then receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send you a copy of all data to the email address known to us, along with an overview of the processors who hold this data, stating the category under which we have stored this data.

You can make a request to this effect to our privacy contact person. You will then receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send you a confirmation to the email address known to us that the data has been adjusted.

You always have the right to restrict the data we process (or have processed) that relates to your person or can be traced back to it. You can make a request to this effect to our privacy contact person. You will then receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send you a confirmation to the email address known to us that the data will no longer be processed until you lift the restriction.

 

Right to data portability

You always have the right to have the data we process (or have processed) that relates to your person or can be traced back to it, transferred to another party. You can make a request to this effect to our privacy contact person. You will then receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send you copies of all data about you that we have processed or that has been processed by other processors or third parties on our behalf, to the email address known to us. In such a case, it is highly likely that we will no longer be able to continue providing services, as the secure linking of databases can no longer be guaranteed.

 

Right to object and other rights

In certain cases, you have the right to object to the processing of your personal data by or on behalf of Kiliaan Jewelry. If you object, we will immediately cease data processing pending the handling of your objection. If your objection is well-founded, we will make copies of the data we process (or have processed) available to you and then permanently cease processing. You also have the right not to be subject to automated individual decision-making or profiling. We do not process your data in such a way that this right applies.
